Ohio State Crushes Illinois to Become Bowl Eligible

WEEK 6:
Ohio State wins big in Champaign 34-16 as they move to 6-0 to become bowl eligible. The day started with a 26 yard field goal by Jayden Fielding to put the Buckeyes up 3-0. Then Illinois QB Luke Altmyer threw his first interception of the year leading to a Buckeyes score by CJ Donaldson. Ohio State forces a turnover on downs early in the second quarter leading to another Field Goal by the Buckeyes. IIlinois next drive only lasted one play as Ohio State forces a fumble by Kaylen McDonald. Ohio state would score easy thanks to the short field by a touchdown pass from Juilan Sayin to Bo Jackson. Illinois would finally get on the board with a 24 yard field goal by David Olano as we go to halftime.
The second half starts with an Illinois touchdown from the one yard line by Aidan Laugherty. But Ohio state would respond with a touchdown of their own; a 2 yard Touchdown run by CJ Donaldson his second of the game. Illinois would fumble again thanks to a strip sack by Jermaine Mathews Jr leading to a touchdown pass from Juilan Sayin to Jeremiah Smith. Illinois Luke Altmeyer would thow a 4 yard touchdown pass to Coiln Dixon late in the 4th quarter. Illinois would try to score one more time but the Ohio state defense forced another turnover on downs to end the game.
Ohio State's next game will be Saturday at 3:30 on CBS, as they take on the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
