BREAKING: Cardinals Finalizing Deal to Trade Marvin Harrison Jr.
The Cardinals are done with the Marvin Harrison Jr. experiment. Arizona is finalizing a deal to trade the former No. 4 overall pick, per Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, and told Harrison he'll be inactive Sunday against the Lions while the trade is finalized.
The 2024 No. 4 overall pick never got going in Arizona — five catches for 85 yards and one score through four games this season, fifth-most targeted in the offense behind Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, and even a running back. New coach Mike LaFleur's offense has no room for him.
Houston is in the mix, per Schefter and Rapoport, which would reunite Harrison with his Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. The Colts are not involved, per ESPN. Arizona is reportedly asking for a second-round pick and more.
Deal isn't finalized yet — no acquiring team announced, no compensation agreed — but both top insiders say it's getting done, and the inactive tag tells you everything.
