# BREAKING: Jalen Hurts Out Indefinitely With Blood Clot
The Eagles just dropped a stunner. Quarterback Jalen Hurts — the Super Bowl MVP — is out indefinitely with a superficial blood clot in his leg, and he's officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
The timeline is the scary part. Hurts told the team he got cleated in the calf during the Oct. 4 Rams game. Saturday in London, an ultrasound found the clot — but team doctors cleared him to play, and he played the whole loss to the Jaguars. Then Wednesday's follow-up ultrasound revealed the clot had MOVED. That's when they shut him down immediately. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says the Eagles' stance is "out indefinitely."
Third-year pro Tanner McKee gets the start Sunday. Philly is already held together with tape — Lane Johnson retired, Cam Jurgens got traded to Baltimore, Saquon Barkley is banged up. Now their MVP quarterback is sidelined with a condition that can be genuinely dangerous if it spreads.
No timeline. Nobody knows. Get well, Jalen.
