RIP to a legend. Mike Ditka has died at 86, his family announced Friday morning. The Hall of Famer revolutionized the tight end position as a player and then coached the 1985 Chicago Bears — one of the greatest teams in NFL history — to a Super Bowl title.

Ditka was the fifth overall pick in the 1961 draft and became the first tight end ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1988). He won Super Bowl VI as a player with Dallas, Super Bowl XII as a Cowboys assistant, and Super Bowl XX as the head coach of the 1985 Bears, who went 15-1 and hammered the Patriots 46-10.

Two-time NFL Coach of the Year. The mustache, the sweater vest, "Da Bears." Nobody did it bigger. Rest easy, Coach.
