BREAKING: South Carolina Stuns No. 16 Florida 38-19 at The Swamp
The Gamecocks just humiliated a ranked Florida team in Gainesville. South Carolina rolled into The Swamp and put a 38-19 whooping on No. 16 Florida on Saturday — the most points South Carolina has ever scored in Gainesville, ending an eight-game SEC losing streak and winning there for the first time since 2014.
LaNorris Sellers went off: 23-of-35 for 279 yards and four touchdowns, plus a rushing score. Dylan Stewart returned from suspension and wrecked the Gator offense with two forced fumbles and a sack. Florida turned it over four times, got embarrassed on homecoming, and has now lost two straight by a combined 64-36.
Two weeks ago Florida looked like a playoff contender. Now the Gators are 4-2 and free-falling, and Jon Sumrall is officially on the hot seat radar. South Carolina, meanwhile, gets its first SEC win since last September.
